Full Job Description:
CPA firm located in Boston, MA seeking part-time to full-time Certified Public Accountant. Our firm has been providing consulting, tax, and accounting services to individuals and businesses for over ten years. As a member of our firm, you will have direct contact and responsibility for maintaining client relationships and therefore must have strong interpersonal skills. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, team player with experience in public accounting to prepare all types of income tax returns (Personal, Corporation, S Corporation and Partnership) as well as associated bookkeeping and accounting services.

Required Skills and Education: 

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least five years of recent public accounting experience. Comprehensive understanding of current income tax laws and accounting principles. Strong written and oral communications skills. Self-starter who is detail focused and uses strong research and analytical skills to make independent quality decisions. Highly ethical. Knowledge of Adobe, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office required. ProSeries tax software knowledge highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills fostering client and internal relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
  • Decisively executes solutions to problems
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Tax law.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily interaction.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ProSeries tax software a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Licensed CPA: Preferred
  • Ability to work overtime when needed during peak times of year.
